The short film "A Caixa" begins a new phase of the artist. It is the first professional short signed by Director Renata Jesion.Renata Jesion is a playwright, director and actress for two and a half decades.
But in the last 10 years, he has become interested in the audiovisual world.
It was during the creation and birth of a project of his, in November 2008, called Teatro Para Alguém (www.teatroparaalguem.com.br) that Jesion became more interested in the cinematographic practice. Teatro Para Alguém, was the first virtual theater, perhaps the world to broadcast all the pieces live. There were more than 50 productions in 3 years. This project aimed to mix the languages of the Theater with the Audiovisual.

Antarctic Traces reflects on the history of human activities on South Georgia, Antarctica. Sealing and whaling can be seen as exemplary ways how humans deal with nature (to this day). I am interested to investigate what nature looks like after human exploitation and explore the physical (industrial) ruins as well as the void we have left behind.

Camila de Moraes é jornalista e graduanda no curso B.I. de Artes com concentração em audiovisual pela Universidade Federal da Bahia. Na área do cinema dirigiu o documentário de longa-metragem "O Caso do Homem Errado" que aborda a questão do genocídio da juventude negra no Brasil. A cineasta se tornou a segunda mulher negra a entrar em circuito comercial com um longa-metragem após 34 anos de silenciamento no Brasil. A primeira mulher negra foi Adélia Sampaio, em 1984, com o longa-metragem de ficção “Amor Maldito”. Aclamado, o longa “O Caso do Homem Errado” esteve na seleta lista de pré-selecionados pelo Ministério da Cultura para representar o Brasil e concorrer ao prêmio de Melhor Filme Estrangeiro no Oscar 2019. Director Biography - Yejin Kim
Yejin Kim is an animator and illustrator who explores visual language through mixing 2D and 3D animation. She likes to write stories that reflect moments of nostalgia captured in everyday life. As a Korean Canadian immigrant, she strives to connect with notions of displacement and alienism through her work.
“My Mom is an Alien” is a short film about an immigrant family from Korea settling in Canada. The film features a mix of 2D and 3D animation— the 2D sequences representing the inner thoughts and memories of the main character, while the 3D sequences represent the present.
The story centers around Min, a teenage girl who struggles to fit in and accept the cultural differences between her and her school mates— while expressing her discomfort in sharing her mother’s Korean food.
Born and raised mexican, Karen is an artist residing in Nuevo León, Mexico. Very early in childhood, Karen enjoyed creating miniature worlds to play with, at some point this evolved into developing stories for animation. As a director, Karen gravitates towards fantasy and slice of life with a creative twist.
